Environmental Studies is a compulsory subject in the present curriculum. Currently there is one faculty member in the department, who provides a friendly environment in the teaching-learning process as he goes beyond the scheduled hours of classroom teaching. The faculty concerned is easily approachable and never hesitates in extending personal care to each and every student in their need.

Sri Subhas Mandal completed his B.Sc. from Surendranath College under the University of Calcutta and then from Rabindra Bharati University he pursued his M.A. in Environmental Studies. He has also done B.Ed. from West Bengal University of Teacher's Training Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA). At present he is working as a State Aided College Teacher in this department.
